The Fleet
Sailing is a featured activity with a fleet that consists of Streakers, mono-hull dinghies, and Hobie Cat catamarans. LCG Aqua Guides are available to assist or sail with the guests. The fleet provides equipment for a progressive training program.
Starting with the Streaker, adults can begin their sailing experience. The Streakers are also suitable for single-handed sailing even for novice sub-teeners.
The next level is the Hobie 17 equipped with a training main sail and without a jib. This configuration allows the novice to get the feel of the catamaran sailing, using a boat that is somewhat under powered and, therefore, more manageable for a beginner.
The Hobie 16, with standard main sail and jib, is the final step for an intensive two- to three-day-sailing program. The H-16 requires a crew of two to sail the boat. A very experienced Hobie sailor can handle the H-16 in reasonable wind and sea conditions. With strong winds, the H-16 is a fast, powerful, and, therefore, thrilling sailing adventure.
Along with the hands-on experience, instruction materials are available. A single individual, a family or group of friends who want to experience something new and exciting during their holiday, should seriously consider the sailing option.
Ocean Kayaks and Pedal Boats
A fleet of kayaks and pedal boats is available for use. These recreational watercraft may be used along Sigayan Bay’s six kilometers of shoreline or while fishing at the fresh-water lake. Nominal fees and safety rules apply.
Mask, Fins, and Snorkels
A range of sizes are available suitable for children to large sizes for adults. Guided snorkeling excursions to nearby coral gardens can be arranged.
