LCGPA is a day-visit picnic ground with facilities for excursion groups and overnight camping activities.

The primary attractions are 400 meters of beach frontage and shaded adjoining areas as enjoyable picnic venues.

In contrast with established excursion destinations, LCGPA is designed as a SPACIOUS well-equipped alternative. The emphasis is on SPACE as even with more than 2,000 visitors, the area is not overcrowded.

The Laiya Coco Grove Picnic Area is a destination where one visit is not enough due to the array of activities available to the guests - company, school, church, and family groups – will enjoy repeat visits to the picnic area, as well as introducing it to their families and friends.

The LCGPA Main Building serves as the center for operations. Besides the administrative function, there is a provision (sari-sari) store stocked with basic necessities. A barbecue grill and beverage outlet, shaded seating for more than 60 persons, as well as 2 sets of showers and changing rooms. This facility is suitable for individuals and small groups.

Next to the main building is a shaded open picnic area with seating for 150 persons. This area has comfort, changing, and shower facilities. Food service maybe sourced from the barbecue grill or from the visitors’ picnic baskets. There are no dedicated cooking facilities for this area.

To the west of the main building is a complex of native structures which can serve 2 separate groups or 1 large group of up to 450 persons. Dedicated toilets, baths and showers, with 2 large separate changing rooms, service the group(s). In addition, picnic-style food preparation facilities are provided. With guests’ own tents and bedding, a sizeable group will enjoy an all-night party on the beach at this venue.

To the east of the main building are 2 close but still separate covered areas for 150- plus visitor capacity. This area has dedicated comfort, shower, and changing rooms.

Camp Laiya is a shaded, lighted and secure area for camping purposes. Within the camp, guests have access to comfort and changing rooms, showers, cooking facilities, picnic tables, benches, and an area for bonfires at night. Camp Laiya can easily accommodate 10 large tents or 60 persons for an overnight or extended camping experience. Guests may bring their own tents, and are expected to bring their own utensils.

Camp Laiya can provide at a nominal fee tents and bedding for about 40 campers.

In addition, charcoal-grilling facilities are available. With prior notice, LCG can assist with visitors’ needs.

As a day-visit area, the campgrounds can accommodate 100 or more guests.

It must be emphasized that when all seven areas are fully occupied, there is a limited impact on the privacy of the adjacent groups of visitors.

In summary, there are 7 areas that accommodate small to large groups of up to 450 persons. On an exclusive basis, LCGPA has accommodated well in excess of 2,000 visitors.

LCGPA provides secure, guarded and lighted parking area(s) for up to 80 buses. Entry up to the main building is allowed. Vehicles are not allowed to enter or park at the visitors’ areas.
